What role has FootyFit played in helping you achieve a 20% weight loss?
“FootyFit has helped me massively. Having something to work towards every week — stepping on the scales on a Wednesday and seeing progress — gave me purpose and accountability. Scoring extra goals for the team along the way was a bonus.”
What changes did you personally commit to that made the biggest difference?
“The biggest changes I made were cutting down my sugar and carb intake and becoming more active in everyday life. Simple things — like walking to the shop instead of driving when it’s only two minutes away. Small habits add up.”
What has been the hardest part of the journey, and how did you push through it?
“The hardest part? Not falling back into old habits. Let’s be honest… a bar of Dairy Milk tastes better than an apple. But long term results taste better than both.”
What is the biggest difference in your lifestyle or mindset now compared to when you started?
“The biggest difference now is how I feel. I’ve got more energy. I’m not constantly tired. I can play football properly with my son. I’m wearing clothes that don’t need to be made by a tent company anymore Most of all, I’m proud of myself. It was hard. Really hard. But it was worth it.”

Feeling Proud:
“Honestly, I wouldn’t say I feel fully proud yet — I’ve still got targets ahead — but along the way, I’ve hit smaller goals. Losing at least 1 pound at every weigh-in has been huge for me, and it’s given me the foundation for this 10% milestone.”
Lifestyle Changes:
“I’ve made quite a lot of changes — from biking to work instead of driving, sticking to a strict diet (cheat day included!), to joining the gym. I’ve built a routine where I’m improving myself in some way every day.”
The FootyFit Effect:
“FootyFit gives you a clear focus each week. Instead of aiming for some distant goal and losing motivation, I’ve got a weekly target with my weigh-in and my team. Training or dieting alone can be tough, but having a team around you, all pushing for similar goals, makes it easier — and actually fun.”
Real-Life Results:
“The biggest differences are in the small stuff. I’ve got more energy, I can play with my son, go up stairs without thinking twice. Day-to-day life feels easier and more comfortable. The fitness improvements are just an added bonus — my 5k times have improved massively, and I’m excited for a 10k in June!”
